“Pretty strict sort of bubble”: Smith on CT 2025 in Pakistan
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Smith reflected on the team’s stay in Pakistan. He said that there was a strict bubble in Pakistan, possibly due to the excessive security. The Australian skipper revealed that the team had a couple of days to “chill” and did a little bit of training ahead of the IND vs AUS tie.
“We guessed right in the end. We had a little reset and a chance to have a couple of days here outside of a pretty strict sort of bubble, I suppose, in Pakistan with the security and stuff. It’s been nice to just have a couple of days chill here, a bit of training,” Smith said.

Steve Smith on pitch and advantage
Steve Smith shared his views on the gameplan and the pitch. India has played all their games in Dubai, with many believing that it’s an advantage for Team India. On all this saga, Smith said, “I don’t really have a message, to be honest. Just going out and playing and hopefully we can put on a good show. India has played all their games here, so they know the surface well. I don’t know if it is an advantage.“
He further said The pitch is quite dry, I talked with the groundsman, and it has seen a lot of play. India has performed really well in their matches. It’s going to be a good contest, and we are looking forward to it.”
