Australia Playing XI vs IND: Starc & Maxwell to miss IND vs AUS 2nd ODI as well

Australia are likely to make one key change for IND vs AUS 2nd ODI which is set to take place on Sunday.

Team India will look to seal the series when they will take on Australia on Sunday at Holkar Stadium in Indore. The Men in Blue registered a comfortable 5-wicket win in 1st ODI to take a 1-0 lead in 3-match IND vs AUS ODIs. Pacer Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who missed out in 1st ODI, are unlikely to feature in 2nd ODI as well.

After the loss in 1st ODI in Mohali, Australian skipper Pat Cummins gave an update on both the injured players and said that they might not be ready for 2nd ODI.

“They’d probably not be ready for the second game, maybe the third game. Maxi has just arrived in India. Smith’s first hit as well, and Davey was brilliant. Good to see them out there together. We’ve got one eye on the big tournament, but you want to set the standards early and build a good rhythm“, Cummins said after the game.

Josh Hazlewood likely to be included for IND vs AUS 2nd ODI

Australian bowlers looked completely flat against the Indian batters in the first ODI. Pacer Sean Abott went for 56 runs in his 9.4 overs and didn’t look threatening against KL Rahul and Co. Veteran pacer Josh Hazlewood is likely to come for IND vs AUS 2nd ODI in place of Abott to boost the bowling line-up.

While skipper Pat Cummins is fit to play, pacer Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will not feature in IND vs AUS 1st ODI.
