Australia’s explosive opener David Warner scripted history in his 100th T20I with a fifty in AUS vs WI 1st T20I at Blundstone Arena in Hobart on Friday.

The veteran opener, slammed a 22-ball fifty in his 100th T20I and became the first player in history to register fifty plus scores in the 100th match of Test, ODI and T20I.

Warner scored a double century in his 100th Test and scored a ton in his 100th ODI.

The 37-year-old hit 12 fours and 1 six for his 36-ball 70 before getting dimissed by Windies’ pacer Alzarri Joseph.

Warner is just the third player after India’s Virat Kohli and New Zealand’s Ross Taylor to represent his country more than 100 times in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.

He is also the third Australian player after Aaron Finch (103) and Glenn Maxwell (100) to achieve the 100 T20I feat.
