Asia Cup 2023: India vs Pakistan Round 2 on Sep 10 confirmed

India will take on Nepal in their next game in Asia Cup 2023 on Monday.

Asia Cup 2023: IND vs PAK: After a disappointing India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup earlier, where the match was called off due to rain, the fans might see the second round between the two cricketing giants. To note, the Men in Green have already qualified for the Super 4s stages of the marquee event. Meanwhile, India have a chance to qualify with a win over Nepal on Monday. However, even if the match is washed out, India will be the second team to qualify from group A.

As mentioned above, Pakistan have already qualified for the Super 4s and it is likely that India will win their game against Nepal. As a result, both teams will head to next stage joining the other two teams from Group B. As per the schedule announced by ACC, the two qualifying teams from Group A (India, Pakistan, Nepal) will face each other in the Super 4 clash on September 10 (Sunday). The match is set to be played in Colombo.

There are also strong chances of India and Pakistan might be the two teams to qualify for the final clash of the Asia Cup. Meanwhile, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the other three sides currently fighting to reach the Super 4 stages.

As stated earlier, India played their opening match of Asia Cup against Pakistan in Kandy. The Men in Green bowlers were on top of their game as the pace trio of Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf scalped all ten Indian wickets. For India, vice-skipper Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan missed out on well-deserved century.

India will be taking on Nepal in their next group stage match. Monday, September 4, will see the two neighbouring nations clash against each other at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The forecast of the match does not seem to be much promising but the Men in Blue will be hoping to get some game time before reaching to the crucial part of the marquee event.
