RR vs DC: Ravi Ashwin bails Rajasthan Royals out of danger batting at number 5, hogs limelight with destructive cameo

Man for All Seasons – That is Ravichandran Ashwin. Be it for Rajasthan Royals or for Team India. RR faced a challenging crisis in the RR vs DC clash. With spinners posing a big threat, Ashwin moved up the order to come to bat at number 5. He passed his test with flying colours hitting 3 sixes against Kuldeep Yadav and Anrich Nortje.

Ashwin was sent as an offensive measure for Rajasthan Royals and he came out with all guns blazing. With T20 World Cup approaching, the veteran all-rounder has made himself a strong contender for the team.

Ravi Ashwin launched a counter attacking punch against Delhi Capitals. Batting with a strike rate of over 150, he slammed a 29 runs from 19 balls, hitting 3 huge sixes in the process.

Delhi Capitals bowled well from the start of the game. As a result, the hosts found themselves in a bit of trouble. Left reeling at 36/3 after Jos Buttler’s dismissal, RR took a bold step. On came Ravi Ashwin, batting at number 5. Interestingly, in IPL 2023, Ashwin once opened the account for the Rajasthan outfits.

Ashwin launched a counter attack on the DC bowlers. He first hammered Kuldeep Yadav for a big sixer. The following over, on came Anrich Nortje. But Ashwin didn’t shy away. In fact he held his ground and went on to smack the Proteas pacer for 2 huge sixers.
