Another injury scare for Pakistan ahead of do-or-die PAK vs ENG clash

Pakistan face England on Saturday with semifinal spot on the line but Babar Azam & Co have faced another potential injury setback before the mega clash.

Pakistan Cricket Team is facing another injury crisis ahead of the do-or-die PAK vs ENG clash on Saturday. Speedster Haris Rauf has undergone MRI scans after he complained of a sprain in his rib. It must be noted that Shadab Khan is already on the sidelines after suffering a concussion. However, Pakistan have not called up a replacement for Shadab ahead of Pakistan vs England Cricket World Cup game yet.

However, as per Geo News, the Pakistan Cricket Team is not considering Haris Rauf’s injury as a serious concern. The team spokesperson confirmed that the pacer underwent MRI scans and it was a “routine” medical procedure.

Haris Rauf’s form has also been questionable. He has been expensive, going at 6.79 runs an over in exchange for 13 wickets in 8 games.

PAK vs ENG do-or-die clash

After four consecutive defeats, Pakistan have turned their fortune around. But it was their match against New Zealand that kept them in the Cricket World Cup semifinal race. However, Pakistan’s fate is still not in its hands.

Pakistan need to win their match against a struggling England. And they have to hope that Sri Lanka beat New Zealand.

If New Zealand win, then Pakistan have to surpass New Zealand’s NRR, beating England in 35 overs or less.

However, before that, Pakistan have to hope that Afghanistan don’t win against Australia.
