Another confusion! KL Rahul can’t figure who won the toss in LSG vs RR encounter

A sprinkle of confusion added some early drama to Match 44 of the IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR)

A brief moment of confusion, courtesy of KL Rahul, unfolded at the start of Match 44 of the IPL 2024 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Ekana Stadium on Saturday, April 27.

As veteran commentator Ian Bishop began the customary toss proceedings, RR captain Sanju Samson opted for “Heads” after LSG skipper KL Rahul flipped the coin. When the coin landed, it revealed “Heads,” handing RR the crucial decision of choosing whether to bat or bowl first.

KL Rahul or Samson? Who actually won?

However, a brief misunderstanding arose as Rahul initially appeared to believe his call had been successful, leading to a few seconds of confusion on the field. Bishop and Match Referee swiftly intervened to clarify the situation. They confirmed that the coin landed at ‘Heads’ and it is RR who actually won the toss. Following this, RR skipper Samson decided to bowl first.
