Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan indirectly addressed reports of head coach Gautam Gambhir fuming at the players after the team’s collapse in IND vs AUS 4th Test. Reports claimed that Gambhir had told the dressing room ‘Bahut ho gaya‘ after the failure of the batters while also giving an ultimatum to the players. Irfan Pathan took to social media platform X to state that is said in the dressing room should stay within instead of making rounds on the outside.

Gambhir reportedly gave the players enough time to play on their own. However, after consistent failures, he will now decide as to how to go about things. Should players don’t adhere to the pre-match strategy, they might be given a “thank you”, the report stated.
Gambhir also addressed the issue of the batters and how they had been underperforming ever since the IND vs BAN series in September. To add to the woes, it is learnt that Gambhir wanted last series hero Cheteshwar Pujara in the squad, but his request was not entertained.
