India, Sri Lanka, and South Africa are gearing up for an exciting tri-nation series, set to begin on Sunday, April 27. The prestigious R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will serve as the battleground for all seven matches, with each team playing four games before the grand finale on Sunday, May 11.
India’s squad features fresh talent, with left-arm spinners Shuchi Upadhyay and Sree Charani, along with fast-bowling all-rounder Kashvee Gautam, earning their maiden international call-ups. Additionally, experienced players Yastika Bhatia and Sneh Rana make their return to the setup.
Sri Lanka will be led by the seasoned Chamari Athapaththu, bringing her wealth of experience to the tournament. The team has introduced uncapped spinner Malki Madara, while young talents Piumi Wathsala and Dewmi Vihanga have also received their first senior call-ups.
South Africa has infused new energy into their squad with wicketkeeper Karabo Meso, spinner Seshnie Naidu, and all-rounder Miane Smit earning their first ODI selections. Meanwhile, star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp has been rested as she focuses on her fitness and conditioning in preparation for upcoming series and the highly anticipated World Cup in India.
