Alex Hales, Shadab Khan involved in nasty collision during PSL 2024 game

Islamabad United comfortably chased down the target in 18.3 overs, clinching a seven-wicket victory and securing their second win in the PSL 2024.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) witnessed a showdown between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United at Karachi’s National Stadium. Both teams sought redemption following a lacklustre start to the tournament, and the Kings took to bat first.

Amidst the struggle to set a competitive total of 165 runs in the initial innings, a significant moment unfolded on the final ball when veteran West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard unleashed havoc on Islamabad United.

Facing Islamabad’s bowlers, Pollard smashed a flat shot between long on and long off, sailing over Hunain Shah’s head. However, in their bid to halt the boundary, fielders Alex Hales and Shadab Khan collided, resulting in a painful encounter.

Following the collision, both players remained on the ground for an extended period as the ball trickled towards the boundary for a four. Pollard concluded his innings with an unbeaten 48 runs from 28 deliveries, a highlight circulating widely on social media platforms.
