Ahead of India’s all-format tour of South Africa, Ravindra Jadeja has decided to take a break from cricket and is currently enjoying some leisure time in Paris.

IND vs SA: Ravindra Jadeja set for T20I comeback

Ravindra Jadeja is set to return to action during India’s upcoming tour of South Africa, scheduled to start on December 10. Notably, he is making a return to the shortest format after a gap of 15 months, with his last T20 appearance being in the T20 Asia Cup in 2022. The BCCI has also appointed him as the vice-captain for the T20I squad.

As the Indian team prepares for the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian board has implemented significant alterations to the squad participating in the ongoing series against Australia and the upcoming T20I series against South Africa.

The squad for the South Africa series features four changes compared to the team currently facing Australia. Despite the changes, Suryakumar Yadav will retain his position as the T20I captain for the series. Rohit Sharma’s decision to skip the white-ball segment of the tour and Hardik Pandya’s injury have led to this decision.

The Indian Board unveiled India’s squads for the South Africa series, introducing Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj to the team. Conversely, there are four exclusions from the squad. The Indian team has omitted Axar Patel and Shivam Dube, both of whom played crucial roles in the Australia T20Is, along with pacers Prasidh Krishna and Avesh Khan, for the South Africa series.
