Former Australian cricketer David Warner has been picked up by The Hundred franchise London Spirits for the upcoming season. The veteran cricketer, who is no stranger to playing various T20 leagues across the globe, remained unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction earlier in 2024. While he is scheduled to play the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) with Karachi Kings, he has now added another feather to his cap.
The Hundred next on Warner’s list
As per reports, Warner was drafted by the London Spirits for nearly $250,000. The 38-year-old will now reunite with Justin Langer, who is the coach of The Hundred franchise. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell did not find a team in the tournament as he remained unpicked. The southpaw was a part of the IPL until 2024 but did not any buyers in the mega auction that followed.

Warner was a regular part of the IPL since his debut in the tournament in 2009. He has played for multiple franchises including SRH, DC. However, he was released by the Capitals before the mega-auction and surprisingly found no buyers. He was then forced to turn to PSL 2025.
