Having lost the first two matches, Afghanistan finally got their act together in this game as they restricted the Tigers to a meagre total of 192. Fazalhaq Farooqi starred with the ball once again as he picked up four wickets.

In response, Afghanistan chased the total down pretty easily, losing only three wickets and having nearly ten overs in hand. Rahmanullah Gurbaz remained unbeaten on 106, while Rahmat Shah also played a good hand of 47 runs.

Despite losing the series, the win ensured Afghanistan’s climb up on the ICC Men’s Super League CWC Rankings. Afghanistan has occupied the 4th spot in the table while Bangladesh is the table toppers. England is placed second while India is third on the list.
