Faf Du Plessis

With a total of 145 IPL matches of experience and over 4,500 runs, Faf du Plessis is undoubtedly one of the big names set to feature in IPL 2025.

Captain who helped the RCB team reach the playoffs twice in his three years of captaincy, Faf du Plessis is also on the list. After being released by RCB ahead of IPL 2025 auction, he was picked by the Delhi Capitals franchise at a price of INR 2 crore, showing how much teams still value his experience. Although many felt that DC got him at a bargain price, as he deserved to go higher due to his fitness and the immense batting experience he brings.

Ravichandran Ashwin

It’s going to be a homecoming for R. Ashwin, who is all set to return to the CSK team after a long time, making him the third-oldest player this season. Having started his career with the yellow jersey, Ashwin moved on to Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, becoming a veteran of Indian cricket in the process. CSK bought him for INR 9.75 crore. At 37 years and 166 days of age, he makes the list as well. Having scored 1,162 runs and taken 35 wickets with the ball, there will be high expectations from him to utilise his experience fully this season.
