In its long journey of 16 years, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has witnessed many great all-rounders who have made pre-eminent contributions to their respective franchises. Thus, let us have a look at five most successful all-rounders in the history of the IPL.

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja continues to be an integral part of the CSK squad. His innings of 25 off 15 deliveries in the IPL 2023 final showed that he is still one of the most accomplished finishers in the franchise-based league. Jadeja has scored 2531 runs in 214 matches at an average of 26.36 and a strike rate of 127.57. He has also taken 138 wickets and has been a brilliant fielder, taking 90 catches so far.

Shane Watson

The former Australian cricketer made his debut in the IPL in 2008 for the Rajasthan Royals and was instrumental in helping them win the inaugural title. He went on to ply his trade for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Mumbai Indians, and the Chennai Super Kings and won his second title in IPL 2018 with CSK.

Jacques Kallis

Jacques Kallis started his IPL journey with RCB as his home team. He had a below-par first year in IPL where he scored only 199 runs at an average of 18.09. However, owing to his good third season in IPL, he was bought by KKR in the fourth year. He played a vital role with the ball in the fifth edition of IPL, when KKR lifted the IPL trophy for the very first time.

Andre Russell

In the IPL, Russell has scored 2071 runs in 101 matches at an average of 29.59 and a strike rate of 177.62. He has also taken 89 wickets with his medium-fast bowling. The West Indies all-rounder is expected to play a crucial role for KKR in the upcoming IPL 2024.

Kieron Pollard

Kieron Pollard has been a one-team man and has played for the Mumbai Indians from 2010-2022. The big unit from West Indies has played some of the most memorable knocks in the IPL and has also led the five-time champs in the franchise-based league. Pollard has scored 3,412 runs in 189 matches at an average of 28.67 and a strike rate of 147.32. He has also taken 69 wickets. Kieron Pollard will also serve as the batting coach for MI in the upcoming edition.
