MS Dhoni recently had the chance to debunk one of the most absurd rumors surrounding him. During a promotional event, the Chennai Super Kings captain was asked about the strangest myth he had come across, and without hesitation, he brought up the well-known claim about his supposed milk consumption.
The anchor was visibly surprised upon hearing that the rumor was false, prompting Dhoni to clarify that drinking five liters of milk daily is simply unrealistic for an average person. With his trademark wit, the legendary cricketer put the speculation to rest once and for all.
“I drink five litres of milk a day,” Dhoni said with a smile, responding to a question about the ridiculous rumour at the event. “I used to drink, maybe, a litre of milk spread throughout the day. But four litres – it’s a bit too much for anyone,” he added.
Making lassi in a washing machine? Dhoni responds
MS Dhoni also chuckled at another bizarre claim—that he once made lassi using a washing machine. Interestingly, the former CSK skipper had already debunked the infamous milk rumor in an interview with ESPNcricinfo back in 2005.
In the early 2000s, speculation ran wild about Dhoni’s secret to maintaining his exceptional fitness and power-hitting ability. Many believed his diet included an astonishing five liters of milk daily. Known for his fearless stroke play, Dhoni burst onto the international cricket scene with a reputation for hitting colossal sixes. His arrival redefined the role of wicketkeeper-batsmen, making it imperative for future generations to excel not just behind the stumps but also with the bat.
