IPL 2023: Bollywood Superstar and Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan posted a special tribute to Rinku Singh after he guided the tea, to a spectacular win against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2023. The batsman slammed five phenomenal sixes off the last over to help his team defeat the defending champions on Sunday, 9th April 2023. Chasing a total of 205, Kolkata Knight Riders needed 29 off the last over. Gujarat Titans’ left arm-pacer Yash Dayal came in to bowl the final over. Umesh Yadav scored a single off the first ball and gave the strike to Rinku Singh. The left-handed batsman then pulled off an epic chase by hitting the next five deliveries out of the park to help his team clinch a sensational win.
Rinku Singh’s special knock gave Kolkata Knight Riders their second successive victory of the season. The southpaw was adjudged as the man of the match as he remained unbeaten on 48 off just 21 deliveries. Venkatesh Iyer top-scored in the innings with 83 off 40 balls. Skipper Nitish Rana also contributed wit 40 runs off 29 balls.
Shah Rukh Khan was present at the Eden Gardens during KKR’s match against Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier this week. KKR clinched their first victory of the season by winning the match. The victory against Gujarat Titans on Sunday is their second successive win in the league. It has now propelled the team to the second spot on the points table. The two-time champions will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on 14th April, Friday at the Eden Gardens.
