Yash Dayal bowled the second ball of the over. It was a full toss outside off and Rinku Singh hammers it over extra cover for six. The crowd erupted as the ball sailed over the boundary ropes. With three balls remaining in the over, the stadium was on the edge of its seat. The tension was palpable as Yash Dayal ran in to bowl the fourth delivery. Rinku Singh remained unfazed and launched the ball over the long-off boundary, much to the delight of the Kolkata Knight Riders fans.
In the fifth ball of the over, Dayal tries a slower one from the back of his hand and ended up pitching a short-length delivery. Rinku Singh repeated his heroics and sent the ball soaring over the long-on boundary for the fourth consecutive six. The crowd was in disbelief, and the Gujarat Titans’ players looked shell-shocked.
With one ball remaining in the over, Kolkata Knight Riders needed just four runs to win the match. The pressure was on Yash Dayal, who knew that he couldn’t afford to give any room to Rinku Singh. The final ball of the over was slower short ball again, and Rinku Singh calmly hit it down the ground for the fifth consecutive six.
