CPL 2021- BR vs GAW LIVE: Chandrapaul Hemraj scored the second century of the day as the Guyana Amazon Warriors clinched a convincing nine-wicket win over bottom side Barbados Royals on Sunday. After Imran Tahir and Co. restricted the Royals to just 130, Hemraj took matters into his own hands, keeping most of the strike while blazing an unbeaten ton to see his side over the line. The result sees the Warriors climb up to third in the standings with three wins in six games.

Opting to bat first, Barbados Royals never looked comfortable as they lost wickets in heaps with ageless Imran Tahir chipping in with a three-wicket haul. Johnson Charles and Shai Hope gave Royals a sedate start, but a mini-collapse saw them unable to capitalise on that front. They sunk further after Raymond Refifer and Azam Khan perished and were eventually bowled out for just 130 off the final ball of the innings.

In response, Chandrapaul Hemraj assumed the responsibility and pulled off a one-man show, scoring a scintillating hundred to see the Warriors over the line. Hemraj kept most of the strike as he hit the Royals attack to all parts of the ground, before an uppercut to get to his century and the winning runs on Sunday. The opener managed to score 105 off just 56 delivers, as the rest of the batters, Brandon King and Shoaib Malik had little work in a dominant nine-wicket win. Warriors won with more than five overs to spare, giving their net run-rate a much-needed boost as the CPL season progresses.
