Conor McGregor: UFC News: Conor McGregor, one of the greatest fighters in the UFC, hasn’t lately been in action in front of fans in the octagon. He hasn’t engaged in combat since breaking his leg after his fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. However, there seems to be good news for fans as The Irish Fighter recently suggested that he may fight again sooner than expected as he gives an update on his next USADA testing. It was reported last month that The Notorious is the only athlete who hasn’t signed up for the United States Anti-Doping Testing Pool. UFC President Dana White recognized and confirmed this during UFC 280, saying that all active competitors on the roster must adhere to this requirement so does McGregor.

This means that in order to participate in the UFC once more, he must submit to drug testing for a period of six months and provide the reports of at least two tests that came back negative.

Conor McGregor: Update on USADA Testing

McGregor recently tweeted that he will complete his two tests and then schedule the bout. The tweet reads as follows:

Well, it’s not unexpected that suspicions about The Notorious using performance-enhancing substances have surfaced after he got very buff and since he didn’t take part in any tests. Additionally, McGregor and UFC both put up a tight lip about it, which builds more talks around that suspicion.

With this, McGregor has indeed remained a hot topic. Although there hasn’t been a confirmed date for McGregor’s next fight, seeing him tease a comeback is very exciting. But till he re-enrolls in the USADA testing pool, i.e. until February fans have to wait till then. As he stated, he would be prepared to be booked for the bout after that.

What are your thoughts about McGregor’s USADA Update? Which opponent would you like to see him fight after his comeback?
