The first episode of The Ultimate Fighter for this season aired on Tuesday, and things didn’t go as Team McGregor had hoped as Jennerman was submitted by Roosevelt Roberts in the opening match of the season.

Three seconds into the fight, Roberts’ powerful right punch startled Jennerman, and the UFC veteran who spent three years in the organisation went straight for the knockout. Moments later, Roberts connected with the identical blow, knocking Jennerman to the ground and using some additional hammerfists to end the contest. When McGregor was watching the fight from cageside, he was then spotted smacking his hands together in rage.
After the defeat, Jennerman was sobbing in his locker room, but McGregor made sure to lift his spirits by telling him:”Don’t worry about it, we’ll get better now. Back to the gym.” Fans commented to this with “The new and improved Chuck Lidell in the making”.
