Let’s examine everything that transpired in Conor McGregor’s life in 2022.

Conor McGregor 2022: Movie announcement

Conor McGregor, a two-time UFC champion, will star with Jake Gyllenhaal in Prime Video’s new adaptation of the iconic 1980s action film Road House. This will be Conor McGregor’s acting debut in a big studio film. He joins a cast that includes Bob Menery, Dominique Columbus, Beau Knapp, Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage, Hannah Love Lanier, and B.K. Cannon.

The movie’s cast was already going to draw in a sizable audience. Still, the addition of McGregor only helps that, given the global exposure he has accumulated over the years as the star of important UFC PPV events. It is anticipated that those fans will watch this as well.

 ‘The Notorious’ loses UFC rankings

Conor McGregor has a challenging run in the UFC as he recovers from an injury. He has reportedly been excluded from the most recent UFC rankings. Numerous adjustments were made to the UFC’s official rankings in the lightweight division. Rafael dos Anjos, now at number eight, traded places with Mateusz Gamrot, who rose to position seven. Additionally, McGregor was dropped from the rankings when Grant Dawson replaced him at position 14.

In his most recent battle, Conor McGregor lost to Dustin Poirer suffering a leg injury. The former UFC champion, 34, is finishing his recovery and intends to return in 2023. The Michael Chandler vs. Conor McGregor fight is picking up steam, but some issues still need to be resolved. ‘The Notorious’ hasn’t finished the six months of required USADA drug testing, which he intends to get waived. Also unknown is if he plans to compete for a title at 155 or 170 pounds. The former two-division champion is once more displaying erratic behavior.

Conor McGregor 2022: legal feud with Artem Lobov

In a lawsuit filed in November, Artem Lobov demanded millions of dollars from McGregor, alleging that McGregor had helped build the Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey brand, in which McGregor had sold majority ownership for $600 million in 2021. McGregor has responded to his former friend’s lawsuit less officially than his attorneys, who formally refuted Lobov’s allegations.

When the verdict was initially revealed, McGregor used social media to make fun of Lobov by singing, “Artem is a rat,” in a voice note. Then, “Notorious” challenged his former comrade to a fight in their old gym after it was claimed that Lobov had filed a second lawsuit against McGregor for slander. That didn’t happen until this week, according to the Independent.

By refusing to allow Lobov to have the case heard in the Commercial Court, which “quickly speeds the hearing of huge money disputes,” McGregor did achieve a minor legal success. Riding the wave of his most recent victory, McGregor then moved to Twitter to have a banter with the former pal.

Conor’s Proper 12 and Black Forge promotions

Conor McGregor founded Proper No. Twelve whiskies in 2018 and Black Forge bar in 2021, respectively. Since then, “The Notorious,” the most well-known UFC fighter in history, has aggressively marketed these two businesses.

According to recent reports, Proximo Spirits, the business that owns Jose Cuervo and other alcoholic beverage brands, has purchased the bulk of Proper No. Twelve Irish whiskies. The sale might be valued at up to $600 million. “Proper Twelve will always be my baby!” McGregor said in a statement posted on his website, The Mac Life. “The barrels are being warmed up here. Not only will what I have in store for you elevate Proper Twelve to the highest level of Irish whisky, but also all alcoholic beverages!”
