COD Mobile devs have never given out free legendary weapons in the game. The only time a free legendary operator skill weapon was given out it was part of an event back in 2020 (Purifier H2O). However, since then COD Mobile has given out multiple legendary operator skills, but only after the purchase of Legendary characters. After the season 7 update, a legendary Man-o-War is being given out and players can obtain it after completing a few ‘pricey’ objectives.
How to obtain a FREE legendary Man-o-War in COD Mobile Season 7
A new event has been added post Season 7 update and players can unlock a free Man-o-War legendary from it. Called the ‘Death Scythe Prestige’, it is a rebranded version of the previously released Death Scythe skin. Players who have unlocked the Death Scythe previously will only have a different version of the same skin.
To unlock the weapon, all players will have to purchase the main reward of three different lucky draws in the Store section of the game. Therefore, as it stands, to get one Man-o-War rebranded legendary for free, players will have to pay for three more. Free-to-play players will therefore not have any interest around this event. Others who like to purchase legendary weapons often in a game, might not mind adding a free one to their inventory.
This weapon is exclusive to this season and event and is not expected to return in the future.
