Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly upped their asking price for midfielder Moises Caicedo in response to Chelsea’s interest. Caicedo became first-choice at the Amex Stadium when Yves Bissouma left for Tottenham Hotspur last summer, and he has made 20 appearances across competitions.
The Ecuadorian midfielder has been an important player for Brighton, who are now sixth in the Premier League rankings. He joined the club in January 2022 from Beerschot V.A. and has since made 30 senior appearances for Brighton.

Chelsea is trying to bolster their midfield and reunite Caicedo with his previous head coach Graham Potter. However, their bid was much below what would persuade Brighton to let him depart during the January transfer window. They are, however, about to add another rising talent to their ranks as Noni Madueke joins from PSV in a £30.5 million ($38 million) move.
Madueke will be the 15th signing for Chelsea since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital finalised their acquisition last year. He is a former Crystal Palace and Tottenham young player who joined PSV in 2018 after leaving Spurs. So far this month, Chelsea has signed Mykhailo Mudryk, Benoit Badiashile, Joao Felix, David Datro Fofana, and Andrey Santos.
