India’s tennis player Yuki Bhambri has achieved a new milestone in his career. He has secured a career-best ranking after his recent triumph in the Dubai Tennis Championship, now holding the 42nd position in the ATP Men’s doubles rankings.
Yuki Bhambri’s ATP 500 Triumph
Recently, Yuki Bhambri clinched his maiden ATP 500 men’s doubles title with his Australian partner Alexei Popyrin. They staged a remarkable comeback to defeat world No. 14 Harri Heliovaara of Finland and Great Britain’s Henry Patten at the Dubai Tennis Championships. After losing the first set, the duo bounced back to win the second set in a tiebreaker and sealed the victory with a clinical performance in the super tie-break. This is a big achievement for the 32-year-old, especially as he has been struggling with form for a long time.
Second highest ranked Indian in doubles
Currently, Yuki Bhambri is the second highest-ranked Indian in the ATP doubles rankings. India’s star tennis player, Rohan Bopanna, still holds the top spot among Indians, ranked 22nd. Among his compatriots, N Sriram Balaji is in the 62nd position, while 24-year-old Rithvik Choudary Bollipalli is at the 74th position.
