On December 15, in Florida, Jake Paul will make his ring comeback to take on Andre August.  Paul, 26, lost a split decision against Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia in February, marking the first loss of his professional boxing career. But in the previous three years, the Texan has only engaged in combat once—a decision victory against Brandon Martin in August.

Paul’s record to date includes victories against former MMA champions Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, and Anderson Silva in addition to a YouTuber in his debut professional fight against former NBA player Nate Robinson.

With Fury being his lone opponent with a legitimate boxing background, the American is eager to keep gaining ground in the professional ranks.

‘I’m a professional boxer and I want to be world champion, so I need to pursue the path towards greatness against people who have been boxing their whole life,’ Paul said.

‘So far, my entire boxing career has been on pay-per-view, but now it’s about more than business. Now I want to build my experience in the ring against seasoned fighters. I’m coming to prove my greatness.’

Paul has consistently advanced his bold argument to take on Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, the undefeated super-middleweight champion.

The Mexican superstar, who has won several fights over the past ten years, most recently defeated Jermell Charlo, the unified light-middleweight champion, to further establish his place among the world’s finest boxers.
