Pro Kabaddi: Emotional Pardeep Narwal looks back at PKL journey

Pardeep Narwal has a massive 1568 points in 153 matches, which makes him the most successful player in Pro Kabaddi history.

From a traditional Indian sport to the most exhilarating sport in the country today, kabaddi has come a long way in the last few years, ever since the advent of the Pro Kabaddi League. Each year, millions of fans get glued to a sport that the country has celebrated for long. In its 10th year, the PKL is about to celebrate another achievement, in its already long list.

PKL, undoubtedly, has changed many lives, especially that of the players. One of the biggest stars to come out of Pro Kabaddi is Pardeep Narwal, who scores in bulk, in every season. He is the raider with points in the league to date and has held on to that record for a few years now.

Pardeep Narwal has 1568 raid points in 153 matches to his name. The 26-year-old will has been retained by the UP Yoddhas, and will also lead them this year. Looking back at his journey, Narwal said, “PKL over the last 9 years has really changed our lives and careers. PKL has helped and ensured that more people now know about us, and it has given us a lot.”

“Season 10 should be a massive milestone and we all expect the tournament to be a great one. This is a big year for the tournament, and it is fantastic that we will be going back to all the 12 cities during the competition,” he said.

Looking back at his own journey, Narwal said, “By the time the fourth and fifth season came by, my career had already started off decently, and I was doing my best to build on that. One of the biggest factors for the success that I have had are the coaches, they have really helped me a lot, and I have been able to improve on my game thanks to their inputs. My family, especially, my father had supported me a lot in the initial years, and that also was a big boost personally.”
