It has been quite some time since Manu Bhaker complained about the colour of her Olympic medals coming off. Now, the Monnaie de Paris the French state mint will most likely replace both the medals for the star Indian shooter. In the 2024 Paris Olympics, young Manu Bhaker bagged 2 bronze medals in the 10m air pistol women’s and 10m air pistol mixed team events.
Most of the medalists including Manu Bhaker have complained about the colours coming off right after she won the medals back in the Paris Olympics. And now both her medals are likely to be replaced by identical medals by the French State mint.

Manu Bhaker’s damaged Olympic medals to be replaced
Plenty of athletes all across the globe had posted pictures on the internet showcasing how the medals had worn off within such a short span of time. The damaged medals will be identically replaced with the original engravings as has been informed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
The Paris Olympics organizing committee is working closely with the French Mint and all the damaged medals are slated to be replaced in the coming weeks. Interestingly, all the 5084 Paris Olympics medals feature small pieces from the Eiffel Tower.
Coming to Manu Bhaker, the young ace shooter created history when she became the first Indian after Independence to win two medals at a single edition of the Olympic games.
