Asian Winter Games 2025: Start date, schedule, events, live streaming & all you need to know

India's largest team of 59 athletes heads to Harbin, China, for the 9th Asian Winter Games, competing in six diverse winter sports events.

The Asian Winter Games 2025, also known as the 9th Asian Winter Games, will take place in Harbin, China, from February 7 to 14. This is the second time Harbin is hosting the event and the third time for China. Athletes from all over Asia will compete in different winter sports, making it a major event for winter athletes. In total, there will be 1275 athletes from 34 countries participating in 64 events.

India at the Asian Winter Games 2025

India has sent its largest team ever to the Asian Winter Games, with 59 athletes participating in Harbin. Previously, the largest Indian team was 27 athletes in 2017. This year, India will participate in six sports: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, figure skating, short-track speed skating, speed skating, and men’s ice hockey. A notable athlete is Mohammad Arif Khan, who represented India at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
