AUS vs SA Highlights – Australia vs South Africa: Australia has once again thrashed South Africa to win MCG test by an Innings and 182 RUNS. The Proteas proved to be no match for the rampaging Australian squad. Nathan Lyon picked 3 & Scott Boland 2 on DAY 4 to wrap South African 2nd innings for just 204. Temba Bavuma was the lone warrior for the visitors with a knock of 65. The visitors needed to score 387 in 2nd innings to make Australia bat again – but they fell shot by 182. Earlier in 1st session Mitch Starc took out Sarel Erwee for 21. Scott Boland than ended Theunis de Bruyn innings for 28. Khaya Zondo was run out for 1.

DAY 3 RECAP: At Stumps on Day 3, South Africa were 15/1 in their 2nd innings. Pat Cummins took out Dean Elgar without scoring. Australia declared after taking a lead of 387 runs. Hosts 1st innings score read 575/8. Alex Carey scored his 1st test hundred to further push South Africa to brink.

Carey in partnership with Cameron Green added 117 runs for 8th Wicket. Carey was out for 111. Earlier Anrich Nortje picked quick wickets of Travis Head (51) & David Warner (200) on 3rd DAY Morning.

AUS vs SA DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS: Aussies take complete CONTROL of MCG Test, SouthAfrica on backfoot after Carey maiden Test TON and Cummins early STRIKE: CHECK AUS SA HIGHLIGHTS

Wicketkeeper Alex Carey savoured a maiden century before Australia declared at 575 for eight, bringing tea early on Day three of the second Test with South Africa’s hopes of levelling the series all but gone.

South Africa, bowled out for 189 in the first innings and trailing 1-0 in the three-match series, will need 386 runs to make Australia bat again at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. All-rounder Cameron Green was unbeaten on 51 despite nursing a broken index finger that saw him retire on day two.

Tail-ender Mitchell Starc was 10 not out. He was struck on the helmet by all-rounder Marco Jansen on the last ball before home skipper Pat Cummins called his batsmen in.

Warner scored his 25th Test century of just 145 balls. While the double hundred came off his willow from 245 balls.

During the knock, Warner also achieved milestone of 8,000 TEST RUNS. Along with Steve Smith, he stitched 200 runs-plus partnership for 3rd wicket. Smith departed after scoring 85.

Earlier on DAY 1, Allrounder Cameron Green took a career-best 5-27 as Australia ripped through South Africa’s fragile batting before piling on late runs to seize control of the second Test in Melbourne on Monday.

After the visitors were dismissed for 189, an aggressive David Warner, in his 100th Test, was unbeaten on 32 and Marnus Labuschagne was not out on five to steer the hosts to 45-1 at stumps on day one. Usman Khawaja was out for one, caught behind by Kyle Verreynne off Kagiso Rabada.
