Andrew Tate threatens to sue his victims

While police look into multiple allegations of sex trafficking and rape, Andrew Tate, 36, and his brother Tristan, 34, are now being held in prison in Romania after being detained in December. Legal experts suggest that the brothers are “seeking to intimidate witnesses” since they adamantly deny the allegations and have taken legal action against two women in Romania last April.

According to the BBC, the woman allegedly received a letter accusing her of making “false and defamatory allegations” against the Tates.

“You lied in April 2022 when you claimed that our client Andrew Tate had detained you against your will, abused you, and human trafficked you. About the Tate brothers, you have repeatedly made false and damaging claims to the police, the media, and another American citizen.”

A significant witness in the cases against the contentious individuals, according to Benjamin Bull, an attorney with the National Centre on Sexual Exploitation in the U.S. He continued by saying that the letter was made to make the ladies who had come forward go into hiding.

Andrew Tate’s lawyer on the defamation letter

The Tate brothers’ attorneys verified the letter’s authenticity but refuted claims of intimidation. According to Tate brother’s advisor Tina Glandian, the brothers’ pursuit of legal action for defamation was not unusual.

“She said that since there was zero proof of that, “the Tates were not detained in April. They had the right to file criminal complaints for having their houses searched and possessions seized because [at the time] they were nothing more than the targets of false accusations.”

The Tates lost their appeal against extended custody and will now be in jail until February 27. In late December, the Tate brothers were held in a widely publicized raid on their £600,000 compound in Romania. They are being held in preventative detention throughout the investigation into the allegations against them.
