Ali Abdelaziz sat down with the MMA Underground and addressed several things surrounding his fighters. Khabib Nurmagomedov’s friend Ali also revealed how he stood with Corey Anderson after the title loss against Vadim Nemkov.
The Dominance MMA kingpin said, “I had five guys fighting competing on this event and 4-1 and Corey [Anderson] lost and I didn’t’ even see Usman [Nurmagomedov] after the fight. I kinda stayed with Corey all night in the back and stuff and it was really heartbreaking because if anybody deserves anything, it’s Corey Anderson.”
Corey Anderson lost to Vadim Nemkov, with whom he had battled back at Bellator 277. An accidental headbutt caused the fight to be declared a no-contest. Meanwhile, Nemkov improved his ground game and dominated Corey Anderson throughout the re-match. He earned a comfortable, unanimous win on the judges’ scorecard. Corey Anderson now needs to pick himself up from the loss and return stronger.
The former UFC star is currently one of the most electrifying light heavyweight prospects at Bellator. It will be unfair to write him away from the mix as Anderson looks likely to return soon and hunt for the Bellator gold again.

While Kamaru Usman has recently lost his welterweight crown to Leon Edwards, Islam Makhachev has brought back the UFC lightweight belt to the Dominance-MMA stable. Now, Ali is planning to put the lightweight champion on an Indian multi-city tour alongside UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov. The duo will reportedly arrive in India in 2023.
