At present, New Zealand’s Daryll Mitchell is the number 1 ranked ODI batter with 814 rating points. Gill isn’t far behind, and needs just 12 more points to occupy the top spot. The Indian captain has scored 453 runs in 6 innings in ODIs in 2026, averaging 113.25. Shubman scored an unbeaten 80-run knock in the ENG vs IND 1st ODI before he retired hurt due to suspected cramps. He has scored four fifties and one century this year already. Gill’s overall ODI numbers read 3271 runs from 65 matches at a mind boggling average of 60.57, making him one of India’s most consistent batters in the format in the recent years.

Other Indians in the top ten rankings for batters include Virat Kohli at number 3 followed by Rohit Sharma at number 4. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis enters the top 10 after moving up by 2 spots to the 10th.

Meanwhile, Axar Patel has jumped three spots from 11th to 9th on the rankings for all-rounders in ODIs. After a sub-par T20I series against England, the all-rounder finished with figures of 4/62 and an unbeaten 57-run knock in the ENG vs IND 1st ODI that saw him win the Player of the Match award. He is the only Indian to feature in the top ten. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai continues to occupy the top spot.

In the ICC rankings for bowlers in ODIs, Rashid Khan continues to occupy the top position. Kuldeep Yadav, the only Indian in the top ten, has moved to the 8th position. Jasprit Bumrah stays put on the 24th position following his return to action in the game in Birmingham.
