
Pakistan nearly out of T20 World Cup
After Sri Lanka lost to New Zealand by 61 runs on Wednesday, the Pakistani side has gotten close to T20 World Cup elimination. With South Africa making the semis already in the Super 8 Group 2, NZ emerged as main contenders. Pakistan should now hope that Kiwis lose their last match, while they have to win theirs. Sanju Samson likely for ZIM encounter
Abhishek Sharma’s waning form has been a major concern for Team India, and with their Super 8 match vs ZIM coming up, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak did admit, they were looking at Sanju Samson as a replacement. He said, “There have been discussions around that (Sanju Samson in the playing XI). We are thinking about making changes for the next match because both openers are left-handed and the number three batter is also left-handed. So we will see because we never decide the team early. Rinku Singh joins team
The Indian batter Rinku Singh had left the team and gone back home a couple of days back, to see his ailing father. Earlier there were concerns, if he would be able to participate in the match… but there should be no issues, since he joined the side on Wednesday evening. Read more here.

Abhishek Sharma still no. 1
Despite his repeated failures; 0, 0, 0, 0 and 12, Abhishek Sharma continues to be the no. 1 batter in the world, in T20Is. Ishan Kishan went up three places as well, to be inside top 5. ICC assures ticket refund
The ticket sales for the semis and final for the event, which are scheduled to take place in Kolkata, Mumbai and Ahmedabad, got underway recently. But in case PAK/SL make the next rounds, the venue will be shifted to Colombo. And in that case, the ICC has said, it will issue refunds for all tickets. Read more here.
