The International Cricket Council (ICC) will release the tickets for the semifinal and final of the T20 World Cup 2026 on February 24 at 7 PM IST. However, fans will be of two minds to buy them. Unless the teams are confirmed, you won’t know where the match will actually happen.
Only Mumbai is confirmed as the host for the second semifinal. The first semifinal could take place at either of two venues, and the same goes for the final. One wonders what the use of pre-seeding is if the ICC can’t even confirm the venue of a game that’ll happen in less than 2 weeks.
T20 World Cup 2026: semifinals & final schedule
The first semifinal will be played in Colombo if Pakistan qualifies or Sri Lanka qualifies and doesn’t have to face India. If neither of these things happens, it’ll be played in Kolkata. The final will be in Colombo if Pakistan qualifies. If not, Ahmedabad will host it.
| Match | Date | Venue | Time (IST) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Semifinal 1 | March 4 | R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo OR Eden Gardens in Kolkata | 7 PM |
| Semifinal 2 | March 5 | Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai | 7 PM |
| Final | March 8 | R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo OR Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad | 7 PM |
