New RR captain
RR have named Riyan Parag as their captain for IPL 2026. After trading Sanju Samson to CSK, RR needed to appoint a new skipper. They’ve gone with Parag over Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, and Ravindra Jadeja. Parag was RR’s stand-in captain in Samson’s absence last season.

Nepal and the Netherlands couldn’t, but Zimbabwe has done it. We have the first upset of the T20 World Cup, with Australia going down to Zimbabwe in Colombo. Spin challenge awaits India
Ravichandran Ashwin is slightly concerned by India’s performance against Gerhard Erasmus. The Namibian captain and spinner claimed a 4-wicket haul against the Men in Blue.
