The Celebrity Cricket League 2026 has reached its business end, with just three matches left to decide the champion of its 12th edition. After a lively group stage split between Vizag and Coimbatore, four teams remain in contention, and Saturday promises a full day of knockout cricket.
CCL Semi-finals
The spotlight, as always, will be firmly on Kiccha Sudeep’s Karnataka Bulldozers. The table-toppers were the most consistent side of the group stage, winning all their matches with authority, and will now face Vels Chennai Kings in the first semi-final. The second semi-final sees Bengal Tigers locking horns with Kerala Strikers. Both teams have won 2 matches each against each other.
Karnataka’s route to the semis has been superb. They topped the table, looked settled with both bat and ball, and arrive in Coimbatore as favourites. Chennai, on the other hand, sneaked into the knockouts on net run rate but have shown they can be dangerous on their day. One good performance is all it takes at this stage.
The knockouts follow a simple format. First plays fourth, second takes on third, and the two winners advance to Sunday’s final at the SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore. With celebrity stars, packed stands, and high-scoring games becoming the norm this season, expect plenty of drama across both semis.
