The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is a unique and entertaining cricket tournament featuring India’s top film stars. Established in 2011, the CCL has become a highly anticipated event, combining the passion of cricket with the star power of Bollywood and regional cinema.
The CCL initially comprised four teams representing different film industries: Chennai Rhinos, Telugu Warriors, Mumbai Heroes, and Karnataka Bulldozers. Over time, the league expanded to eight teams, showcasing the diverse talent and vibrant cricket spirit of India’s film industry. The other four teams currently in CCL are Punjab De Sher, Bhojpuri Dabbangs, Kerala Strikers, and Bengal Tigers.
The CCL has not only provided a platform for celebrities to showcase their cricketing skills but has also raised funds for various charitable causes.
The next CCL season (CCL 2024) could be anticipated to commence in early 2024.
