India cricket team’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026 has been announced ahead of the marquee event which begins in February 2026. A majority of the stars who are a part of the squad belong to the Mumbai Indians, followed by CSK, KKR and DC. Unfortunately, not one member from the IPL 2025-winning RCB side is a part of the Indian squad for the T20 WC 2026.
IPL team-wise breakdown of Team India’s T20 World Cup 2026
There are four Mumbai Indians (MI) players in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, including captain SKY, Tilak, Bumrah and Hardik. Harshit, Varun and Rinku are a part of the side from KKR. Samson, who was traded to CSK from RR ahead of IPL 2026, is a part of the side from the Men in Yellow along with Dube. Others in the side include SRH’s Abhishek, Kishan and DC’s Axar and GT’s Sundar.
It is pertinent to point out no member from RCB, LSG, RR, PBKS have been picked in the T20 World Cup 2026 squad. Jitesh Sharma, the only member who could have been a part of the side, was replaced by SRH’s Kishan in the side.
