England are set to feature across three T20Is and as many one-day internationals vs New Zealand as the white-ball season begins in Oceania.

It’s been only a few weeks since the southern hemisphere began to shake off its winter chill, yet cricket is already finding full voice in New Zealand. The Black Caps welcome England for a brisk three-match T20I series starting Friday, October 18, at Christchurch’s scenic Hagley Oval, a ground already sold out for the opener.

For England, the tour arrives as a reset of sorts. A bridge between their long summer and the early preparations for next year’s T20 World Cup. New Zealand, meanwhile, are looking to fine-tune their combinations after a tough outing against Australia earlier this month.

The white-ball leg doesn’t end there, as both teams will also play three ODIs on October 26, 29, and November 1 to wrap up the tour.

New Zealand’s white-ball captain Mitchell Santner returns after abdominal surgery, ready to lead a side boosted by the comeback of Rachin Ravindra, who endured a face laceration. Kane Williamson misses the T20Is due to a minor medical issue but is expected to rejoin for the ODIs.

England are led by Harry Brook, who steps in after being rested for the Ireland series. However, England have already announced their playing XI, with as many as four wicket-keeping options included.

New Zealand probable XI: Tim Seifert (wk), Rachin Ravindra, Tim Robinson, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell, James Neesham, Mitchell Santner (c), Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Jacob Duffy.

England XI: Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (wk), Jacob Bethell, Harry Brook (c), Tom Banton, Sam Curran, Jordan Cox, Brydon Carse, Liam Dawson, Adil Rashid, Luke Wood.
