As per a fresh report in Cricbuzz, what perhaps led to a setback in talks was — RR wanted either Ravindra Jadeja or Ruturaj Gaikwad for their team, but it was a deal-breaker for Chennai.

Venkatesh Iyer to Find New Home?
After a sub-par IPL 2025 season, Venkatesh Iyer may well be on his way out from KKR. After all, reports had claimed that KKR was planning to trade him ahead of IPL 2026. Now, the batter didn’t acknowledge whether he’s heard anything about a potential trade happening with SRH but says that KKR hasn’t conveyed any information to him regarding the matter.

Bye-bye Zaheer Khan
LSG is set to part ways with mentor Zaheer Khan, who had been with the team since 2024, as per a report in the Times of India. The development has come a few days after Bharat Arun was roped in as the bowling coach of the team. Zaheer Khan had come into the picture after the exit of Gautam Gambhir and Morne Morkel.

Thiruvananthapuram replaces Bengaluru for WC
Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium is all but certain to miss out on hosting matches in the upcoming ICC Women’s ODI World Cup after the Karnataka government denied permission for the venue to stage games. The ICC is now in discussions with the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) to shift some of the matches to Thiruvananthapuram’s Greenfield Stadium in Karyavattom.

There has been a lot of debate going on in the country, over the upcoming India vs Pakistan encounter, in the Asia Cup 2025.Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh went on to say that neither the Pakistani statements should be given any importance, nor should the Indian players be shaking hands with the Pakistanis.
