Team India start practice at Beckenham after two-day break, KL Rahul missing in action

IND vs ENG: Old Trafford, Manchester is one venue, where Team India has never won a Test match.

After a heartbreak un the Lord’s Test, the Indian team is back to business. They have already started preparing for the IND vs ENG 4th Test in Manchester, from July 23. As reported by Rahul Rawat of Sports Tak, while all the players were in attendance, opener KL Rahul was the only one missing in action, though the reason for the same is unknown.

As per another report by RevSportz, Team India will conduct a full-fledged practice session at the Kent County Cricket Ground, before taking a break on the 18th, and then travel to Manchester on the 19th. Post that, the preparation for the Old Trafford Test will begin from July 20.

No KL Rahul at Beckenham Training

As is the case always, the team management will have a tough job ascertaining the perfect playing XI for the pitch, that traditionally supports the pacers. Jasprit Bumrah will play the 4th Test for sure, and a call needs to be taken, if the team wants to persist with the two-spinner formula.

On the other hand, the place of Karun Nair in the team will also be under scanner. He has failed in three matches on the trot now, and there are rumours that coach Gautam Gambhir might be tempted to get in Sai Sudharsan, who played in the Leeds match. There could also be discussion over getting Dhruv Jurel in the XI.

As for England, there are chances that Ben Stokes might finally play Gus Atkinson, while Jofra Archer is only expected to continue. In place of the injured Shoaib Bashir, all-rounder Liam Dawson comes in too.
