Global pop star Ed Sheeran has taken a break from his busy India tour and has indulged in a game of cricket. Ed Sheeran teamed up with Indian Premier League (IPL) side Rajasthan Royals. He played a game of cricket with Riyan Parag, Tushar Deshpande, and a couple of other young kids.
Over the years, Ed Sheeran has always expressed his liking for football and cricket. Earlier, he met with the England Cricket Team in Pune. And now, he went on to have a lovely game of cricket with the IPL side at the RR camp.
Young Indian batter Riyan Parag was extremely impressed with some of the shots that Sheeran played. “He has a very nice swing. I didn’t expect that,” Riyan Parag said in a video posted by Rajasthan Royals.
Ed Sheeran was gifted a special Rajasthan Royals jersey. He was gifted the special 23-numbered Shirt worn by the great Shane Warne. Back in 2008, under Warne’s captaincy, Rajasthan Royals lifted their maiden IPL title. After playing, Sheeran however returned the favor as he gifted Tushar Deshpande an Ipswich Town shirt.
