The IPL 2025 season will start on March 21 and will run for over two months, ending at Eden Gardens on May 25.

We are still about two months away from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season kicking off. Ten teams will be in action for a 74-match-long 18th edition of the IPL. But similar to the two newly introduced teams (Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans in 2022), there were teams that used to compete but don’t anymore. 30% of all the teams that have participated in the IPL are defunct now. People know the main one, Deccan Chargers, but there are others as well.
