YouGov Most Admired 2021: Sachin most admired Indian sportsperson- Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar continues to be most admired Indian sportsperson in the world. Back in India, former India captain MS Dhoni and current Test skipper Virat Kohli are the two most admired sports personalities in 2021 as per a recent YouGov survey.
Other than sportspersons, Tata group’s Ratan Tata is the most admired personality in India while former US President Barack Obama is the most admired personality in the world. Amongst sportspersons, Portugal and Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is the most admired individual in the world followed by Argentina and former Barcelona legend Lionel Messi.

This year’s study surveyed more than 42,000 people in 38 countries and territories to compile the list.
Among the men, Argentine footballer Lionel Messi has seen the greatest increase since last time, climbing four places from 11th to 7th – his highest rank to date. Despite this record placement, as well as his recent Ballon D’or win, Messi still lags behind Portuguese rival Cristiano Ronaldo in 4th place (also Ronaldo’s best showing to date).
