Chasing a decent total of 171 runs in just 15 overs, CSK got off to a flyer. However, the Titans managed to break the partnership as Gaikwad and Conway departed in quick succession. However, some decent cameos from Ajinkya Rahane, Shivam Dube and Ambati Rayudu helped Chennai to remain in the game. With 10 runs needing off last 2 balls, Jadeja smoked two back to back boundaries to help his side clinch the fifth IPL trophy.
As CSK lifted trophy for one more time, cricket fraternity and experts lauded Chennai’s effort to clinch the title. The likes of Harsha Bhogle, AB de Villiers and former RCB and Indian skipper Virat Kohli congratulated the five-time champions on the social media.
