WWE Survivor Series: Two superstars pulled out from their respective Teams- Tonight’s show saw some twists in the men and women’s Survivor Series team of Smackdown. Aliyah from the women’s team and Sami Zayn from the men’s team were removed tonight, and now we have four members on both the teams from Friday Night Smackdown.
Sami Zayn’s removal was legitimate as he lost his match against Jeff Hardy, and as per the stipulation, the loser will be removed from the team. Meanwhile, Aliyah’s axing came as a surprise as no explanations were given behind the decision.

WWE Survivor Series: Sami Zayn and Aliyah were axed from their respective teams
The night kicked off with a braw between the five ladies of Team Smackdown for Survivor Series joined by Naomi. Naomi was the one to start the brawl as she laid her hands on Shayna Baszler, with whom she has been feuding for weeks.
After the brawl, Sonya Deville made a match official between the six ladies with Sasha Banks, Aliyah, and Naomi on one side and Natalya, Shayna Baszler, and Shotzi on the other. It was the first official match on Smackdown for Aliyah, who impressed one and all by pinning Natalya and getting a W against her team’s name.

Despite Aliyah impressing in the tag-team match, her exclusion from Smackdown’s team for the Survivor Series is a bitter pill to swallow. As of now, no replacements have been named for both Sami Zayn and Aliyah, but it would be interesting to see who will be named as the replacements next week.
