As per PWInsider, WWE booked Raw Superstars like Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins for the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown. Also, WWE advertised these superstars for the SmackDown episode. Even WWE’s official website has advertised Cody Rhodes on the Friday Night SmackDown poster.
However, these superstars won’t be appearing on the Live TV. Instead, these superstars would be a part of the dark matches after Friday Night SmackDown goes off-air. The live audience will get a chance to watch these superstars in the dark matches.
Recently, WWE is merging both brands for the live audience after Raw and SmackDown go off-air. Even during some of the episodes of Raw and SmackDown, WWE Universe watched SmackDown Superstars competing on the Monday Night Raw. Recently, The Usos and Sami Zayn competed on Monday Night Raw against Riddle and The Street Profits.
It is pretty clear WWE is constantly merging brands to compete with superstars of both brands in dark matches. Also, there are reports speculating WWE might bring NXT Superstars for the Women’s tag team tournament.

Also, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will be part of the six-man Tag team match against Sheamus, Butch, and Holland. Woods will bring a surprise partner for the six-man tag team match. Moreover, SmackDown Women’s Champion will find out her next opponent to defend her SmackDown Women’s Champion.
