WWE SmackDown: What’s next for Drew McIntyre?
Roman Reigns defeated every superstar on the SmackDown roster except Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior was engaged in a feud with Happy Corbin for a long time which kept him out of the line for facing Roman Reigns. However, the former WWE Champion recently targeted Roman Reigns to be his next prey but hasn’t received an official one-on-one match against Roman Reigns.
Drew McIntyre is one of the WWE Superstars who holds a strong chance to dethrone the Tribal Chief. Also, he defeated the ‘Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar in the past, which adds a strong point to becoming Reigns’ next opponent. Even McIntyre stood strong in the recent confrontation against Roman Reigns overpowering him.
It is quite obvious Drew McIntyre wants to come into the title picture once again after a year full of pointless feuds. WWE seemingly added Drew McIntyre into the title picture as Brock Lesnar is not advertised for further Premium Live Events until SummerSlam.

Since WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns has no new opponent to defend his Undisputed Universal Title. On the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown, we could see the Scottish Warrior confronting Roman Reigns for the Universal Title.

Drew McIntyre Faced Roman Reigns Twice
The former WWE Champion faced the Head of the Table twice in his career. However, McIntyre faced two losses in the last two fights with Reigns. At WrestleMania 35, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre fought each other where Reigns defeated him.
Further at Survivor Series 2020, the Tribal Chief and the Scottish Warrior faced each other in a champion vs champion match. The match was pretty intense where McIntyre stood strong. However, Reigns won the match after a low blow to McIntyre, ending with a guillotine.
Although McIntyre has two losses against Reigns, he could defeat Roman Reigns for the Undisputed Universal championship. McIntyre has made good growth in recent years defending his WWE title against Randy Orton and many more.
