WWE SmackDown Results March 24, 2023
Cody Rhodes vs Ludwig Kaiser
Friday Night SmackDown kicked off with Cody Rhodes. Cody Rhodes participated in his first match on SmackDown after seven years. Rhodes took charge of the match in the beginning and we saw Paul Heyman walking out.
The match continued with both men charging furiously at each other. Also, Solo Sikoa came down to the ringside.
Both the men continued to unload on each other. Finally, Cody nailed Kaiser with a Cross Rhodes for the win.

Following the match, Heyman and Sikoa entered the ring. Heyman stated that Cody should get ready to face Solo Sikoa on Monday Night Raw next week. He also stated that Roman Reigns will come face-to-face with Cody Rhodes on WWE SmackDown next week.

Rey Mysterio vs LA Knight
Rey Mysterio walked out. His wife and daughter were spotted at the ringside. Rey Mysterio took control early in the match. Knight recovered and delivered a neck breaker. Rey Mysterio again took control but Dominik Mysterio came out and distracted Rey.

The match continued with both men attacking each other. Rey then went for a 619 but Dominik Mysterio interfered. With that, LA Knight rolled up Rey for the win.
Following the match, Dominik Mysterio started insulting his mother for marrying his father. Dominik then told his mother to shut up. With that Rey Mysterio had enough of his son. He walked up to Dominik Mysterio and struck him with a right hand. Rey then took the mic and accepted Dominik’s WrestleMania Challenge.

Lacey Evans and Xia Li vs Shotzi and Natalya
Shotzi and Lacey Evans started off the match. Evans had Shotzi on the back foot and tagged Xia Li in. Shotzi fought back with an enziguiri.
Evans then accidentally took out her own partner. Natalya took down Evans. Finally, Natalya locked in the sharpshooter and Xia Li tapped out.
Thus, Shotzi and Natalya became the qualifier for the women’s showcase match at WrestleMania.

Contract Signing for the Intercontinental Championship
Drew McIntyre walked out. Sheamus came out next with Ridge Holland and Butch. After an argument between the two, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus signed the contract.
Gunther walked out and signed the contract stating that he will do whatever it takes to retain his title at the showcase of the Immortals. With that, Butch attacked Gunther.

Gunther vs Butch
Butch took control early in the match but Gunther took him down with a big boot. He then delivered a suplex. Butch recovered and delivered an enziguiri but Gunther came with another suplex. Finally, Gunther ended matters with the Last Symphony.
Following the match, Gunther and Sheamus faced off in the ring and Drew McIntyre came out of nowhere and took out Gunther with a Claymore kick.

The Main Event – KO Show
The main event of the night began. Kevin Owens invited Sami Zayn as a special guest on the KO Show. Owens gifted Zayn a shirt which had KOMania written on the back and WrestleZayn written on the front. Sami put on the shirt and KO is already wearing it.
The two brothers hug it out. Just then, The Usos sneaked an attack from behind and took down Zayn and Owens. Owens then came with a steel chair and the Usos walked out of the ring.
